1. Acceptance of These Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Pope Shenouda III AI service (“the Service”), operated by TechLion Dev (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and available at shenouda.techlion.dev. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, please do not use the Service.

2. The Service

The Service is an AI-powered study companion that draws on the writings of Pope Shenouda III, the history of the Coptic Church, and Scripture to generate responses for study and reflection. It includes the website, the chat interface, saved conversations, and any related features we offer from time to time. The Service may change over time as we improve it.

3. Accounts and Your Responsibilities

You may use some features of the Service without an account. To save conversations and use paid features, you must create an account with accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity that occurs under your account. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us promptly at support@techlion.dev.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in any way that violates applicable law.
• Attempt to extract, scrape, copy, or reconstruct the underlying corpus, training data, or any non-public data used by the Service.
• Reverse-engineer, probe, or exploit the Service or its API beyond ordinary intended use, or attempt to access areas you have not been given access to.
• Overload, disrupt, or interfere with the Service, its infrastructure, or other users.
• Impersonate another person, or use the Service to generate spam, harassment, or harmful content.
• Sell, rent, or sublicense access to the Service or your account, except as explicitly permitted by a paid subscription intended for your own use.

5. Subscription Tiers and Billing

The Service offers a free tier and paid subscription tiers (“Supporter,” “Patron,” and “Steward”), billed on a recurring monthly basis through our payment processor. Paid plans provide additional capacity and features as described on the pricing page. By purchasing a subscription, you agree to pay the applicable fees. We may change prices with reasonable notice, and your continued subscription after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new price.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your paid subscription at any time. After cancellation, your paid access continues through the end of the period you have already paid for, and your account then continues on the free tier. We do not issue partial refunds for the unused portion of a billing period.

7. Content and Intellectual Property

Responses are generated from sources including the writings of Pope Shenouda III, Church history texts, and Scripture, which remain the property of their respective rights holders. We do not claim ownership of the source material. The Service itself, including its software and design, is owned by TechLion Dev. You may use responses for personal study and reflection. Generating or distributing responses to build a competing product or to resell the Service is not permitted.

8. AI Content Disclaimer

The Service is an AI study tool, not a source of pastoral, spiritual, medical, legal, financial, or professional advice of any kind. Responses are generated by machine learning models and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of context. The Service is a study companion, not a replacement for your priest, confession, or pastoral care. Do not rely on it for decisions where an error could cause harm. For questions of faith and life, please speak with qualified people you trust — your priest, doctor, lawyer, or other professional.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that responses will be accurate or complete.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TechLion Dev and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

11. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, in whole or in part, at our discretion and without prior notice, including if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or that your use of the Service is unlawful or harmful. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including the disclaimers and limitation of liability above — will survive.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will provide notice by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where practical, by email or in-product notice. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service.
